Elizabeth Duncan Ragsdale
Born in Memphis, Tennessee USA
Painting,
drawing and creating her whole life, Duncan graduated with a Bachelor of Fine
Arts in Graphic Design and a minor in Advertising from Middle Tennessee State
University in Murfreesboro, TN.
In 1991
she moved to Nashville, TN to work in the art department of a feature
film. In the past 19 years, she
has become an award winning Art Director and Production Designer for video,
motion picture and print media in and around Nashville.
Having
sold many commissioned pieces, Duncan also works in several types of media
including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, acrylics, ink and markers. She has plans to continue amassing a
collection of work for future shows and use in licensing. This is a new endeavor for her and she
intends to reach out to many different groups, to use and display her work in
the future.
Duncan
continued to expand her creative horizons and repertoire by graduating from Watkins College of Art, Design and Film with an Interior Design degree this past May.
"My
love for art has always been an instinctive passion that is constantly evolving
from project to project and in many mediums. Creativity drives my life and surroundings, leading me to
constantly develop new ideas and plans for the next project. I have always been drawn to the
graphic elements of products, packaging and advertising. I have a need to
combine those qualities in my fine art."
